"Internalizing EL Education K-8 Modules with a Culturally Responsive Lens” is a course that will support you in using EL Education modules in a culturally responsive way, or in a way that leverages students’ unique identities and skill sets to access the curriculum.

Additionally, you will learn to build student academic achievement, socio-political consciousness, and critical thinking. Through using EL Education, the course will build your understanding of Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, Culturally Responsive Teaching, and Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education.

ACCREDITATION

Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation, which can serve as verification of attendance for state-approved continuing education credits in most states where such programs exist. Please email open-enrollment@teachinglab.org for any questions regarding accreditation.

"Internalizing EL Education K-8 Modules with a Culturally Responsive Lens” is aligned with ESSER Funding set aside to accelerate student learning.

VIRTUAL DELIVERY

"Internalizing EL Education K-8 Modules with a Culturally Responsive Lens” will be delivered through Zoom via our Learning Management System (Canvas), which brings our unique professional learning content and learning environment online while enhancing our ability to build community among educators.

Participants will engage in synchronous (led by a facilitator) and asynchronous (self-directed) learning experiences.
